martha's window display @ macys ♡

i've been into slab serif fonts for the past 8 months or so
i like them skinny and narrow...
as always martha's magazines do a good job using such typefaces with others

this is the works of designer lee sang bong
he's one of the korean designers who've made it into the mainstream fashion world
this was for the 2007 s/s paris fashion week
(which by the way had lots of good stuff,
but i didn't want to smother you guys with fashion)
anyhoo his stuff is awesome


i really liked the Comme des Garçons collection
but at the same time a bit bitter about how they used the japanese flag so much in their design
but i think seeing lee's collection,
there are ways to show ur roots without using the obvious
and rubbing it into people's faces

someone finally understands that happy people pruduce good work
i wish my office was this cool
or that they let me take a slk for a spin wenever i feel stressed ^^

yes this is very alexey brodovitch-esq, but i still think it is well designed.
and i really like the choice of typeface
